President of ETS Denied Tenure at Baylor

Justin Taylor summarizes Francis Beckwith's accomplishments, and First Things has an extensive reflection by Joseph Bottom. Rod Dreher of the Dallas Morning News suspects that Beckwith's openly conservative stance "is what did him in."
I guess the president of the Evangelical Theological Society has no place at Baylor. I guess Baylor has pretty well staked out its territory, and with Roger Olson's recent blast against inerrancy, it doesn't look like evangelical ground.
